The Oxford School maintained their legacy of hosting the Venad Sahodaya Tournament for the third year. The tournament started on 9th November 2016 with great spirit and enthusiasm. A highly official opening function commenced at 9 Am in the school ground. Soon after the prayer and the march past, The Principal of Oxford School Mr. Abdurahiman welcomed each and every one assembled there. Mr. Shanavas Manager of Oxford School delivered the presidential address. Mr. K. K. Shajahan President of Venad Sahodaya Complex hoisted the flag and inaugurated the tournament. Mr. Radhakrishnan Nair President of Venad Sahodaya Complex felicitated the function. Our Vice principal Mrs. Mini. K. Pillai delivered the vote of thanks. Twenty two schools participated within Trivandrum and Kollam zone which lasted for three days. The final match was played between the sparkling gems of The Oxford School and the ever challenging team Stratford School Kollam. An absolutely spectacular and mesmerizing match was held between the two teams on the last day. The whole spectators witnessed the terrific and outstanding performances of the young devoted and promising game of football, which and indeed cheered the spectators who watched a fabulous and realistic game. It was a proud moment not only for the glorious victory but also spreading the message of brotherhood & friendship. Valedictory function took place by 3.30 Pm. The Principal Mr. Abdurahiman, Manager Mr. Shanavas. A , Circle inspector of Police Mr. Ajayanath. G, Manager of Stratford School Mr. Abbas Kaleelil were the dignitaries on the Dias. The chief guest of the function Mr. Ajayanath (CI of Police, Kottiyam) conveyed the valedictory address and distributed Medals and Trophies to the champions and runner-ups.The school is indebted to this figure Mr.Melbinson Toby Physical Education Director who delivered the vote of thanks and promised to dedicate his heart and soul to bring up more young talents.
