Reassuring to relight the sense of responsibility towards Nature, on June 5, The Oxford School celebrated the World Environment Day. Mr. Abdurahiman.P, the Principal of the school who presided over the function, through his instigating speech unfolded the forth coming disasters to be faced by the future generation. He exhorted the students to focus and contribute their best to preserve Nature .
Our Honourable Chief Guest Mrs. Rejina Jacob, Agriculture Officer, Trikovilvattom Gramapanchayath, after her thought provoking speech planted a sapling in the school courtyard and inaugurated the function. Vice Principal Mrs. Mini K Pillai and HM Mrs. Sheffeekka Immamudeen felicitated the occasion.
To mark the day the students showcased different programmes viz; Speech, poem recitation, demonstration on making paper-bags, distribution of handmade badges, bands and seeds to all the teachers and staff . At the end of the function the children pledged to set up a vegetable garden in the school premises, upholding the theme ‘Connecting People To Nature’ .
