Dr. Salim Ali Day
The Eco Club students of the Oxford School participated in the programmes conducted on Salim Ali Day, also observed as the National Bird Watching Day on 12 Nov 2014. The programme was conducted by WWF, India jointly with the Social Forestry Division and Social Forestry Extension Unit, Kollam.
Birds and Wetlands was the topic of the quiz programme organized on the day. This event was conducted by WWF Senior Education Officer, Mr. A K Sivakumar. After a very exciting contest fought inch to inch by various competing school teams, The Oxford School Kollam, emerged proud winners with Akash Stephen and Asfiya of class IX coming up with a morale boosting performance.
