The Oxford Tender Care paid a visit to supermarket on 9th August 2016, as part of theme ‘Food’. They really enjoyed the morning to learn more about the food they buy and where it comes from. Children visited the store to learn about healthy eating, food sourcing and how food is stored in different places , for eg. refrigerated, some canned etc. They also visited stationary section, bakery, household appliances etc. After the section the exhausted kids were refreshed by fruit juice. Students left a ‘Thank You” card to the manager. It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to develop not only their knowledge of healthy eating but also to understand the functioning of a supermarket
