With the state celebrating Vaayanavaram (Reading week) from June 19 to June 26, 2020 to commemorate the birth anniversary of P N Panicker, pioneer of Kerala’s library movement, the official e-inauguration of Reading Week-2020 at the The Oxford School, Kollam was held on 20.06.2020, Saturday at 11 a.m.
The Chief Guest for the function was Mr. P.G Suresh Kumar (Senior Coordinating Editor, Asianet News). He officially inaugurated the Reading Week via Google Meet and delivered a speech on importance of reading and also mentioned how book reading can promote confidence and lateral thinking among the children.
