Let’s salute the nation on this auspicious day.
The Oxford School, Kollam celebrated the 73rd Independence Day with great fervor, enthusiasm and happiness. The day started with the unfurling of the flag by the Principal Dr. Sajid Ali, followed by a mellow presentation of the National Anthem. The Principal gave a speech reminding the students and the teachers of the sacrifices made by our great freedom fighters and made them pledge that we would serve our motherland, India with heart, body, and soul to bring it glory and laurels with our dignified deeds.
Thereafter, to mark the celebration an assemblage of cultural events took place. The main highlight of the day was the our tinytots who dressed up as national heroes giving tribute to the Motherland and remembered all the great personalities, leaders and those who played a major role in bringing independence to India.
The Programme concluded up with the Vote of thanks by HOS Mrs. Usha Roy. At the end sweets were distributed to the children, teachers and parents present there.
Overall, it was a colorful, learning and memorable Independence Day for everyone!
