Literary & Eco-club Inaugurated in The Oxford School Kollam

On 25th July 2017, The Literary and Eco clubs were inaugurated with grandeur and splendor. The clubs envisaged to instill and kindle the innate talents of the students. The Principal Mr. Abdu Rahiman.P in his presidential address, wished the club members to do their best adding hue and colour to the clubs, by giving more opportunities to the young aspirants. Exulting with fragrance Blossoms 2017-18 was inaugurated by Mr. Raju Mathew, Chief Sub-editor, Malayala Manorama in his inaugural address reiterated the need to live in tune with nature and the relevance of living in the ‘present’. Simultaneously to reap fruits of labour The Evergreens 2017-18, Eco-club was inaugurated by Mrs.Regina Jacob Agriculture officer Thrikkovilvattom Grama Panchayath. She briefed on different ways to preserve nature for living in a healthy environment. With great adoration and respect the occasion was graced with the presence of Mr.Sadasivan Pillai the best farmer of Thrikkovilvattom Grama Panchayath, who was welcomed and honoured with great respect. After a lively interaction answering to the queries of the students, Mr.Sadasivan Pillai laid the foundation to initiate horticulture in the school premises by planting tapioca.  Later the Principal handed over the memento to the honourable guests. Variety cultural programs were presented on the dias Viz., English skit, Malayalam folk song, Hindi speech, Arabic Song, Song on nature etc.
