The Oxford School, Kollam organized a career guidance session for students and parents of Grade XI & XII (Commerce Batch) on 2nd December 2020 via Google Meet. In current times, career counseling is a need as most students in these academic levels require support to rightly choose and select a specific stream as per their interest, capability, and aptitude.
The session commenced with the school Principal, Mr. Mammikutty T.V reiterating the importance of knowing one’s potential and subject of interest before making a decision. The resource person for the session was Mr. Devideyal S (President, Kerala Commerce Form) & Mr. Hari Krishnan (Education Consultant), eminent career counselors who draws upon vast experience and research, to offer comprehensive services to students and schools regarding decision making for the future. The session aimed at making the audience aware of the multiple career options available, procedure to appear those careers, different competitive exams and also made them understand the importance of having goal and passion and hard work to achieve the desired goal. They also shared information regarding leading universities and various courses available. The session was informative and enriching for students as well as parents.
