Arabic Literary Day- 2019

The Oxford School, Kollam is committed to achieving a pluralistic community and the efforts are always channelised towards reaching and raising the students to reach their pinnacle of glory.

To develop and widen this learning horizon, Arabic Literary Day organized by the Arabic Department was celebrated on 8th December 2019 under the auspices of Honorable Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind Kerala Vice president- Zakariah Moulavi, and The Oxford School Masjid Imam Ameen Moulavi. All our students, regardless of religion witnessed the inauguration.

The chief guest, Zakariah Moulavi in his inaugural address shared different inspiring stories and emphasized the importance of smile and quoted ‘Let us always meet each other with a smile

The Principal addressed the gathering that the original core teachings of all religion are the same — the unity of God and the obligation to serve mankind.

U. Muhammed Basheer,  Advisor- Department of Arabic proposed the vote of thanks and mentioned that an initiative like this was aligned to the vision of our wise leadership to preserve Arabic language and literature in the fields of arts and sciences and uphold the culture and history.

A wide spectrum of competitions was also lined up as part of the Arabic Literary Day.  The students participated in the contest with great enthusiasm and mesmerized the audience with their melodious rendering.
