Annual Sports Day is an important event in the life of every school. Sports themselves have a vital role in making a child sound physically as well as mentally. The much awaited Annual Athletic Meet of TOSK was held on Saturday 16th November 2019 with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere. The aim behind holding the event was to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship and fondness for sports in children.
Mr. Ramabhadran- Vice President, Sports Council, Kollam presided over the event as the Chief Guest. The school’s Principal Dr. Sajid Ali, Vice Principal Ms. Mini K Pillai, Manager Mr. Shanavas, Primary Section HOS and KG Section HOS also graced the occasion.
The sports day began with a welcome speech by the School Sport Captain Ashlyn Maryam Sarju. Principal Dr. Sajid Ali addressed the gathering and emphasized on the importance of sports in a child’s life. The Chief Guest, Principal, Vice Principal, Manger and Head Mistress took the salute of the impressive March Past by the students, coupled with stirring marching music. This was entailed by the unfurling of the school flag and declaring the Sports Meet open by the Chief Guest, marking the commencement of the ceremony.
The students entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way with the oath being administered by the Sports captain. The students displayed Aerobics and mass drill mesmerizing the audience with their energetic performances. Once the races began, the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young athletes.
